The Apiarist's "Organic Small-Batch Murder Honey" Candle

Local. Organic. Artisanal. Murderous.

Straight from the hive and lovingly harvested in small batches, The Apiarist's Organic Small-Batch Murder Honey brings the fresh scents of honey, apple, and sweet tobacco into your home—without all the inconvenience of discovering it at a ritual murder scene.

Inspired by the Season One villain of Dark Providence, Murder Honey takes its name directly from the moment our investigators first inadvertently give him the name "The Apiarist".

Because apparently even ritualistic serial killers care about locally sourced ingredients.

Fresh, natural, and surprisingly complex, the fragrance opens with the bright sweetness of honey and apple before revealing the deeper, earthier character of sweet tobacco underneath. The result is less like a traditional sugary candle and more like stepping outside on a warm late-summer afternoon—orchards, fields, wildflowers, wooden hives, sun-warmed earth...

...and the uncomfortable feeling that you may not be alone.

The Scent

Honey, Apple & Sweet Tobacco

A fresh, outdoorsy fragrance with notes reminiscent of:

  • Fresh honey
  • Crisp orchard apples
  • Wildflowers and open fields
  • Warm wood
  • Sweet tobacco
  • Something considerably darker lurking underneath

Bright and inviting at first, Murder Honey develops a warm, earthy complexity as it burns—the olfactory equivalent of wandering a little too far into the woods and realizing you probably should have turned around ten minutes ago.

Small-Batch & Brooklyn Made

The Apiarist's Organic Small-Batch Murder Honey Candle was custom-designed exclusively for Dark Providence in collaboration with Nose Best Candles, an independent small-batch candle maker based in Brooklyn, New York.

Even the packaging plays along: an old-fashioned organic farm honey label interrupted by a decidedly non-organic splatter of blood.

Wholesome enough for the farmers market.

Disturbing enough for Dark Providence.
